Drinking cherry juice is something I have done for the past three to four years.  There are several reasons why I choose to do this as part of a healthy diet and here are three reasons you should consider also drinking this fabulous health tonic every day.

1.  Plenty of Vitamin C.  In these days of dangerous diseases floating around, vitamin C is at a premium.  It is very good for your immune system and I rarely get sick.  I also get plenty of vitamin C.  One serving of cherries gives you approximately 12% of your daily allowance for vitamin C.

2.  Gout Pain Relief.  I have suffered from gout for over 15 years and since I started drinking this great drink because cherry juice and gout pain relief go hand in hand.  I rarely get a gout attack anymore.  I used to get them monthly, now I get them yearly.

3.  It’s always in season.  Since cherries are only in season for a fairly short time, I have chosen to drink cherry juice to replace it.  Whether you choose to use black or tart cherry juice is your choice, both are nutritious.  You can also used dried cherries and you will get the same health benefits, I just choose to drink the juice.

Cherries have amazing healthy properties.  There are far more than the three listed here.  Give them a try.  Your body will thank you for it.

I have had gout for the past 17 years.  Considering I was 25 when I had my first gout attack, I have had gout for a large portion of my life.  In that time, I have tried everything from ibuprofen to allopurinol, indomethacin, and colchicine.  While they helped, ultimately, they did not get rid of my gout.  I still had fairly frequent attacks.

Then I stumbled onto something that changed my life for the better.  I was trying to find other ways to treat my gout and I learned about cherries and gout pain relief.  Since I started eating cherries or drinking cherry juice regularly, I have been virtually gout free.

I will admit that I have had small bouts lasting a few hours, but most of those were due to me either forgetting to drink my juice or just plain laziness.   Cherries have long been considered a source of relief for gout and I have to say in my experience, I agree.
