The crown angle should be between 33 and 35 degrees. and the pavillion depth to be between 42 and 44 percent of the stone.
Sometimes this is simply impossible due to natural variations on the stone. And sometimes a diamond cutter is simply not precise enough. In these cases you will have diamonds that are not an ideal cut. However these stones are still extremely pretty and can be considerably cheaper, they just won’t sparkle quite the same way.
